dedicated team of professionals who work together to achieve our goals. We are seeking for an
experienced and passionate human resource officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be
responsible for the following;

a) Handle the recruitment process (posting job adverts both internal and external, conducting
interviews, carrying out reference checks, and onboarding new candidates)
b) Gather and maintain employee personal records both in hard & soft copies and ensure the records
are up to date.
c) Spearhead the implementation of HR initiatives and policies.
d) Draft contracts for staff, consultants, and volunteers, and support them in understanding the details
therein.
e) Track and maintain a leave database for staff. This includes time taken off or any other holiday.
f) Compile HR data relating to payroll processing by recording new hires, transfers, terminations,
changes in job classifications, salary increases, and other adjustments.
g) Update the payroll information monthly and share payslips with staff at the beginning of the next
month.
h) Record all human resources actions by completing forms, reports, and logs.
i) Support staff members by providing official employment documents required by third parties e.g.
banks and other financial institutions
j) Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance and handle staff welfare.
k) Support the management on disciplinary and grievance issues.
l) Handle exit administration and ensure that staff exiting has handed over all required assets and
communicate to staff regarding exiting staff.

Education, Knowledge & Working experience

a) Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or higher education in Human Resources, Business administration
with a bias in Human Resource Management or Bachelor of Industrial and Organisational Psychology.
b) Minimum working experience of 1 year working in a generalist HR setup
c) Excellent knowledge of various HR functions such as pay & benefits, recruitment, onboarding,
evaluation, training & development, etc.
d) Good understanding of labor laws, HR functions, and best practices

Skills and Abilities

a) Excellent communication skills with an ability to liaise effectively with a range of departments to
effectively implement company policies
b) Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of HRMS is a plus
c) Knowledge of HR functions i.e. HR Operations, recruitment, training, pay, and benefits
d) Ability to analyze and interpret complex information.
e) Ability to handle highly confidential matters professionally & discreetly.

As a human resource officer at Swabo Microfinance, you will play a key role in ensuring productivity
of the employees is achieved.

We are seeking for experienced and passionate credits officer to join our team. The ideal candidates will be
responsible for the following;

a) Evaluate credit worthiness of customers
b) Process loan applications and documentation
c) Interview applicants to determine their financial eligibility and feasibility
d) Determine all applicable rations and metrics and set up debt payment plans
e) Answer clients’ questions and provide information
f) Justify decisions (approvals/rejections) and report on them to clients
g) Complete loan contracts and counsel clients on policies and restrictions
h) Maintain an active knowledge base of all of the institution’s loan products and an understanding of the
qualifications required of each applicant
i) Document all customer conversations in loan origination software and timely follow up.
j) Assess customer needs, explore all options and introduce different types of loans
k) Develop referral networks, suggest alternate channels and cross-sell products and services to
accomplish quotas
l) Build long term and trusting relationships with customers
m) Ensure customer satisfaction at highest possible level
n) Οperate in compliance with laws and regulations and adhere to lending compliance guidelines
o) Maintain a positive working relationship with internal departments and external contacts.

Education, Knowledge & Working experience

a) Previous working experience as a Loan Officer for 2 years will be an added advantage.
b) Bachelors degree in finance, economics or any other similar relevant field with a bias in business.
c) Hands on experience in group and individual lending methodologies
d) Experience in computers and banking software.
e) Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
f) Customer orientation and sales competencies

A Recovery Officer is responsible for securing timely repayments through daily field visits to delinquent
customers, supporting daily branch and bailiff activities in branches assigned while maintaining positive
relationships with customers, and minimizing and controlling losses to Swabo Microfinance through proper
management of overdue credit facilities.

Key duties and responsibilities:

a) Monitoring and Coordinating recovery activities for both active and written-off loans assigned by
Swabo Microfinance branch management.
b) Ensuring that the escalation process is followed by the branches and all recovery efforts/documents
are completed and filed at the branch.
c) Negotiating payment of active and written-off customers, securing promises to pay within set
guidelines and targets.
d) Maintainance of 100% compliance with all policies and regulatory requirements across collection
activities.
e) Negotiating with debtors and ensuring that they repay the bad debts at the lowest cost at all times.
f) Carrying out periodical visits to active and written-off customer securities and advising management
on the condition of the security.
g) Identifying and advising management on all delinquent accounts that require legal proceedings on a
regular basis.
h) Coordinating the allocation of bad loans to court bailiffs and ensuring that proper approval is
obtained at the time of allocation.
i) Ensuring that court bailiffs received formal written instruction before proceeding with cases.
j) Participating in periodic reviews of the recovery procedures and advising management on the new
development in the recovery process.
k) Daily reviewing and updating of the Field Collections tool providing status updates to your supervisor
for all loans under your follow-up.
l) Ensuring that proper procedures are followed in the liquidation of customer collaterals and guiding
the branch and the recovery agents on the recovery process.
m) Following up and ensuring that all recoveries from active and written-off loans are properly booked
and reconciled on a regular basis.
n) Managing and maintaining the monthly reporting requirements for the assigned loans.
o) Training and guiding branch staff on the best practices in the recovery of delinquent loans.

Competencies

granting loans, and credit risk management.
b) Good problem-solving, negotiation, interpersonal and convincing skills.

e) Strong dedication to accuracy and efficiency.
f) Ability to use and communicate in local languages.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in finance and banking, accounting, or any relevant field.
Minimum 2 years of working experience in the credit function of the financial industry.

a) Manage the front-desk and reception areas, serving as the first point of contact for clients,
employees, job candidates, and vendors
b) Perform general administrative tasks, such as answering and directing phone calls; handling email,
files, meeting minutes, mailings, and deliveries; and coordinating meeting-room calendars
c) Keep the office clean, organized especially the kitchen, stockrooms, storage closets, and communal
areas
d) Order office supplies such as stationary among others in a timely manner
e) Maintain filing system, contacts database and inventories
f) Provide ad hoc support to staff members and departments, including organization of on-site and offsite team events

Required skills and qualifications
