What It Costs

  1. Regulatory fees:
    • Stamp duty of Ugx15,000 for loan amounts greater than Ugx3Million.
  2. Loan application fees:
    • 2% of loan amount.
  3. Other fees:
    • loan commitment Fee 2%
    • Loan Monitoring Fee 1%
  4. Insurance.
    • Insurance 1% for loan within one year
    • Insurance 2% for a loan beyond one year

What You Need

  • You must have an account with Swabo Microfinance
  • For non-Ugandans; you must be living in Uganda with valid residency permit and or work permit.
  • Must be 18 years or older (but not older than 65 years on expiration of the facility).
  • A clear business or identifiable source of income.
  • At-least two guarantors.
  • National ID
